Social System in DPRK Stimulating Sports Development
Pyongyang, July 20 (KCNA) -- The DPRK sportspersons have made great achievements at different international games in recent years.

In particular, the 2012 London Olympic Games came to be an occasion for the DPRK to step into the limelight. In the 17th Asian Games, the DPRK took the first place at the women's football match.

Mother of Ra Un Sim, captain of the DPRK women's football team, told KCNA it was beyond imagination that her daughter has been awarded the title of Labor Hero.

Her talent began to bud under the deep care of many people including teachers and coaches of the juvenile sports school, Ra's mother said, adding her daughter's success would have been unthinkable without the socialist system in the DPRK.

The DPRK has many sports schools and modern sports facilities together with well-organized system of selecting and training reserves.

Children with talents for sports can develop their abilities at those sports schools at the state's expense.

Now the DPRK has witnessed an epoch-making change in the field of sports, thanks to the wise guidance of supreme leader Kim Jong Un who is reliably carrying forward the intention of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il to build a sports power.
