Jong Song Sun, resident in Pongnam-dong, Phyongchon District of Pyongyang, said that she missed very much Kim Jong Il who was enthusiastically reciting impromptu poem "Greeting the Sun Rising over the Taedong River" on the bank of the Taedong River on July 16, Juche 49 (1960). The poem reflected the firm faith and determination of Kim Jong Il to accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche pioneered by President Kim Il Sung generation after generation, she added.

Poem reciting "Greeting the bright sun rising over the Taedong River" and "Greeting of the eternal sun" helped the audience deeply grasp the unshakable faith and determination of the peerlessly great man to lead a long journey of the Songun revolution that started in Mt. Paektu to one victory after another.

In poem reciting and oungum ensemble of the immortal classic masterpiece "My Mother", small mixed chorus "Baton of Revolution" and other numbers schoolchildren renewed their pledge to firmly prepare themselves as young vanguard in the era of Songun true to the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.
