Rodong Sinmun Slams S. Korean Authorities for Escalating Confrontation with DPRK
Pyongyang, July 14 (KCNA) -- The north-south relations are still in the worst catastrophic situation despite ardent desire and efforts of Koreans. This is attributable to the south Korean puppet authorities' policy for escalating confrontation with compatriots in the DPRK.

Rodong Sinmun Tuesday says this in an article. It goes on:

It is impossible to improve the north-south relations and open the way of peace and reunification if they are allowed to pursue the policy of confrontation.

In order to hold dialogue between the north and the south and improve their relations, it is necessary to refrain from any provocation against the other side, to begin with.

However, the puppet group of traitors is talking about "dialogue" but, in actuality, resorting to the sinister provocations to hurt the socialist system of the dignified DPRK and realize the ambition for "unification of social systems".

It staged a farce of hosting the UN "office on human rights in the north" in Seoul defying the unanimous denunciation and rejection of the whole nation.

It is building up public opinions at home and abroad about the issue of the non-existent "human rights in the north" and justifying and escalating confrontation with the DPRK under this pretext in a bid to do harm to it.

Its confrontation policy is a war policy increasing the danger of a nuclear war while disturbing peace and stability on the Korean peninsula.

It is keen on the arms buildup for invading the north by pushing forward the deployment of THAAD in south Korea in secrecy and purchasing air tankers from overseas. It is also stepping up military nexus with Japan, buoyed by the ambition for reinvasion with the U.S. backing.

The present situation goes to clearly prove that the north-south relations can never be mended as long as the south Korean puppet authorities do not cancel the policy for escalating confrontation with compatriots in the DPRK and stop the provocations against it.
