Anniversary of Demise of Kim Il Sung Observed in Russia
Pyongyang, July 12 (KCNA) -- A Korean photo, book and art exhibition took place with due ceremony in Chita City, Russia and round-table talks in Nakhodka City on July 7 on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung.

On display at the venue of the exhibition were photos documenting immortal exploits of the President, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Also displayed there were their works, photos and books introducing Songun Korea and art pieces associated with the talents of the Korean people.

A vice-minister of the Ministry of Culture of the Zabaikal Territory Administration said he was pleased to see the opening of the exhibition introducing the DPRK dynamically advancing under the leadership of Kim Jong Un.

Noting that the exhibition would help Russian people have better understanding of the reality of the DPRK, he stressed that he would make positive contribution to the development of the traditional Russia-DPRK friendly relations through closer cultural exchange with the DPRK.

The representative of the Foreign Ministry in Chita City said that the President and Kim Jong Il were the world elder statesmen who made great contributions to the development of the Russia-DPRK friendly relations.

The secretary of the Regional Political Council of the Nakhodka City Branch of the Maritime Territory of the United Russia Party said that the President was the founder of the Workers' Party of Korea and the DPRK and the great man who turned the DPRK into a socialist power.
