Estuardo Martinez Perez, president of the Peruvian National Independent Movement for Free Voting's Union, noted this in a statement on July 2 on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of demise of the President.

The President founded the Juche idea and turned the DPRK into a socialist power independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in defence, the statement said, adding:

The exploits the President performed by building the party, country and army serve as a genuine textbook for the struggle of the progressives aspiring after independence against imperialism and after socialism.

The President, believing in the people as in Heaven, pursued the politics for them and dedicated his all to their happiness.

He set forth the most just and reasonable proposals for national reunification including the three principles of national reunification and the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo and devoted himself to the cause of national reunification till the last moments of his life.

He also dedicated himself to global independence.
