There was an accident at a construction site in Chonan City, South Chungchong Province on July 4. The accident left three dead and four others wounded.

There broke out fires at a sanatorium hospital in Unphyong District, Seoul and in Mapho District, Seoul on July 5, causing patients to evacuate and claiming casualties.

A peasant house was reduced to ashes in Yongchon City, North Kyongsang Province on the same day.

A fire also broke out in an apartment building in Socho District, Seoul on Monday, causing big losses to its settlers.
