Socialist Educational System of DPRK Praised in Senegal
Pyongyang, July 3 (KCNA) -- A Senegalese paper and broadcasting service praised the most advantageous socialist educational system in the DPRK on June 16.

The Senegalese paper Le Populaire in an article titled "Features of compulsory education in DPRK" said:

The universal 12-year compulsory education, the highest level in the world, has been enforced in the DPRK.

This system is based on free education in which the state is responsible for everything necessary for education.

The characteristic of this system is that it steadily develops education as required by the times and aspires after the most reasonable educational method at the highest level.

The universal 12-year compulsory education is the further development of the universal 11-year compulsory education which was enforced in the past and a new high phase of the secondary general educational system, the paper said, introducing the educational system in the DPRK in detail.

The Senegalese radio broadcasting service aired the same news.
