Foreign Crewmen Meet to Support Korean People's Cause
Nampho, June 25 (KCNA) -- There took place a meeting of foreign crewmen in support of the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea at Nampho Port on Thursday.

The participants laid a floral basket before the mosaic depicting the peerlessly great persons of Mt. Paektu in Nampho City and paid tribute to them.

The meeting was attended by captains and crewmen of the Antigua and Barbuda-flagged ship Alert and the Panama-flagged ship Fengan.

Speakers said the Korean nation has suffered the pain resulting from division for the past seven decades and the danger of war has always hung over on the Korean peninsula due to the U.S. hostile policy towards the DPRK.

Fair and reasonable proposals for reunification including the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo have not been materialized owing to the moves of the U.S. and other hostile forces, they said, adding:

The DPRK is firmly defending the sovereignty and dignity of the country, holding aloft the banner of Songun under the present international situation. They expressed the will to stand by the Korean people in the future, too.

A letter to supreme leader Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.
