Unryul, Sohae and Kumsan fishermen's cooperatives doubled inshore fishing output as of June 20 this year as compared with the same period of last year.

They have operated all fishing boats on a normal basis and introduced effectual methods in inshore and underwater fishing, overfulfilling their monthly quotas ahead of schedule.

The DPRK has paid big efforts to the development of fishing industry, raising it as an important policy to undertake pelagic and inshore fishing on a large scale.
