Seminar on Juche Idea Held in Russia
Pyongyang, June 22 (KCNA) -- The East European and Central Asian regional seminar on the Juche idea on the theme of "Juche idea and theoretical and practical issues on independence in East European countries" took place in Sankt-Peterburg, Russia to mark the 51st anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).

Present there were Mikhail Panchenko, general secretary of the International Alliance of Societies for the Study of the Juche Idea and Songun Policy in East European and Central Asian Regions, Dmitri Kostenko, chairman of the Russian Association for the Study of the Juche Idea, Nikolai Polishk, chairman of the Ukrainian "Treasured Sword of Songun" Association for the Study of the Juche Idea, chiefs of the organizations for the study of the Juche idea in different countries and personages from political parties, organizations and institutions of Russia. A delegation of the Social Scientists Society of Korea was present on invitation.

Congratulatory speeches were made by some personages at the seminar to be followed by a report made by Mikhail Panchenko.

Representatives of organizations for the study of the Juche idea in foreign countries made speeches.

The reporter and speakers said the Songun politics is the most efficient and just politics which guarantees the victory of the cause of the popular masses for independence and that the reality of the DPRK which is making a leaping progress forward in building a thriving socialist nation while shattering the provocative moves of the U.S. and its followers for a war and aggression clearly proves the originality, validity and tremendous vitality of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and Songun politics.

They hardened their will to adhere to the anti-imperialist independent stand, display a high degree of patriotism and further strengthen the solidarity based on independence.

A letter to Marshal Kim Jong Un was adopted at the seminar.
