Myanmar Paper Observes Month of Anti-U.S. Joint Struggle
Pyongyang, June 20 (KCNA) -- The Myanmar paper The New Age carried an article titled "Meaning of Korean War" on June 10 to observe the June 25-July 27 month of the anti-U.S. joint struggle.

The paper said:

After occupying south Korea under the mask of "liberators" in the wake of World War II, the U.S. ignited the Korean war on June 25, 1950, prompted by its wild ambition for putting the whole Korean peninsula under its control and dominating the world.

The war was the fiercest one. But a miracle was witnessed.

The DPRK defeated the U.S. against all expectations and common knowledge.

The brilliant victory of the DPRK was a fruition of the gifted stratagem and wise leadership of President Kim Il Sung.

It is 60 years since the end of the war. But the U.S. remains unchanged in its hostile policy toward the DPRK and the danger of a new war is increasing on the Korean peninsula.

The DPRK today is no longer what it used to be in the 1950s.

The past Korean war brought about the beginning of a downhill turn for the U.S. but a new Korean war will put a total end to the U.S.
