The participants laid bouquets before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il in Hamhung City, South Hamgyong Province and paid tribute to them.

The captain and crewmen of the Cambodia-flagged ship Gain Ocean were present at the meeting.

Speakers said that the most distinguished exploit performed by Kim Jong Il was that he developed the WPK into an invincible party and demonstrated the dignity and might of Kim Il Sung's Korea before the world.

They expressed conviction that the Korean people would achieve greater successes in carrying out the historic cause of building a thriving socialist nation and achieving national reunification, closely united around supreme leader Kim Jong Un.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.
