Project for Scientists Street Progresses Apace in DPRK
Pyongyang, June 17 (KCNA) -- The second-phase project for construction of Mirae Scientists Street on the bank of the River Taedong is now progressing apace in Pyongyang under the deep care of the Workers' Party of Korea and the government.

The street is to be arranged with skyscraping and towering apartment houses, public buildings, modern service facilities and parks and other cultural and welfare establishments.

Servicepersons and civilians involved in the project have sped up the construction of apartment houses and various buildings on a full scale, changing the environment of the project with each passing day.

At present soldier-builders work such miracle as raising one floor of apartment houses a day.

Other builders, too, carry out their daily assignments smoothly through introduction of advanced building methods.

The Ministry of Railways, the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports and other units are stepping their undertakings for the project, including the construction of schools, hospital and service establishments, in an aim to finish them ahead of schedule.
