15 years have passed since the publication of the June 15 joint declaration. Thanks to the historic event, there were brisk cooperation and exchange between the south and the north and the reunification movement could reach a new stage.

However, the June 15 joint declaration is totally denied in south Korea.

The present regime has pursued a military alliance against the north, joining hands with the U.S. and Japan quite contrary to the basic spirit of the joint declaration.

It called upon organizations of the reunification movement to exert all efforts to mark the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation in the spirit of By Our Nation Itself.
