Memorial Service for Ex-President of ITF Held
Pyongyang, June 15 (KCNA) -- A memorial service to mark the 13th anniversary of death of Choe Hong Hui, ex-president of the International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF), took place at the Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery Monday.

Present at the service were Jang Ung, president of the ITF, a Taekwon-Do delegation headed by ITF Vice-President Leong Wai Meng, foreign Taekwon-Do practitioners, those concerned of Taekwon-Do, bereaved family members, Kim Kyong Ho, chairman of the Korean Taekwon-Do Committee, officials concerned and Taekwon-Do instructors and players.

The participants laid wreaths in the name of the Korean Taekwon-Do Committee, the ITF, the International Martial Arts Games Committee and the Agency of Overseas Korean Affairs and bouquets at the grave of Choe Hong Hui before paying silent tribute to him.

Jang Ung in a memorial address said that he warmly remember Choe Hong Hui who devoted his life to Taekwon-Do, adding that his desire to make contributions to building a peaceful world would be surely achieved by joint efforts of Taekwon-Do practitioners.

Then the participants watched a demonstration of DPRK Taekwon-Do instructors and players at the Taekwon-Do Hall and looked round the Taekwon-Do Holy Hall.

The DPRK Cabinet gave a reception at Okryu Restaurant for the participants in the memorial service on the same day.
