The workers, technicians and scientists of the factory succeeded in locally producing catalyst for burning fuel while putting big efforts on the preparations for technical updating to turn the production processes into energy-saving style ones by their concerted efforts.

Going round different places of the factory, the premier learned in detail about the production there and orientation for new production process and encouraged the scientists and technicians in their drive to accelerate the building of an economic power with their scientific and technical achievements.

A consultative meeting of officials concerned took place on the spot.

The meeting discussed the issues of conducting technological updating on the principle of putting the energy-saving style production processes on an intensive basis and, for the present, minimizing the fuel consumption and establishing rational and effective management and business strategy.

Saying that energy supply presents itself as an important issue in promoting the building of an economic power at present, the premier called on all factories and enterprises to push ahead with the work to turn production processes into energy-saving style ones.

He also made field survey of farming in Yomju and Tongrim counties, underscoring the need to put the manuring and cultivation on a scientific basis and give play to the mental power of agricultural workers.
