A starting ceremony took place before the Monument to the Victorious Battle of Pochonbo Monday.

The participants laid a floral basket and bouquets before the statue of President Kim Il Sung at the monument and paid tribute to him.

A report was made to be followed by speeches.

They said that the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt. Paektu are associated with the immortal revolutionary history of the peerlessly great persons, the spirit of the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners to devotedly defend the leader and their indomitable fighting spirit and the noble intention of our party to achieve the final victory of the revolutionary cause of Juche.

They vowed to hold in high esteem President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il for all ages and firmly defend and eternally glorify the revolutionary feats of the peerlessly great persons.

At the end of the ceremony, they looked round the Monument to the Victorious Battle of Pochonbo and visited the Hyesan Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery.
