Kimjongilia, Korean Book, Photo and Handicraft Exhibitions Held in Russia, Mexico

Pyongyang, June 15 (KCNA) -- There took place a Kimjongilia exhibition in Russia and a Korean book, photo and handicraft exhibition in Mexico on June 6 and 9 on the occasion of the 51st anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

On display there were photos of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Potted Kimjongilias, their works, and books and photos introducing Songun Korea were also on show.

Dutov, vice mayor of Nakhodka, Russia, said the life of Kim Jong Il was the one of patriotic devotion and long journeys for the country and people.

While leading the Workers' Party of Korea for a long time, he achieved the unity and cohesion of its members in one thought and purpose, the vice mayor added.

A member of the Nakhodka City Assembly praised him as a great statesman who made great contributions to developing the party.

Cuautemoc Amezcua Dromundo, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Popular Party of Mexico, praised Kim Jong Il as a great leader who turned the DPRK into a socialist power and an elder statesman who protected the global cause of socialism.
