The joint national event proved abortive due to the Park Geun Hye regime of south Korea, the statement said, adding:

All Koreans earnestly hoped that successful joint event would serve as an important occasion for mending the north-south relations and paving a broad avenue for independent reunification, which would lead to the second June 15 era.

But the south Korean regime scuttled the event in disregard of the ardent desire of all Koreans by arrogantly interfering in and disturbing the efforts for it, a premeditated move.

The regional committee in the statement vehemently denounced the move of the puppet regime as a blatant challenge to the aspiration and desire of all Koreans calling for national reconciliation, unity and reunification and an unpardonable crime against the nation.
