Photo Exhibition Opens to Mark Anniversary of June 15 Joint Declaration
Pyongyang, June 13 (KCNA) -- A photo exhibition was opened with due ceremony at the People's Palace of Culture on Saturday. It was opened here to mark the 15th anniversary of the publication of the June 15 joint declaration.

On display at the venue of the exhibition is a photo of leader Kim Jong Il meeting with President Kim Dae Jung on a visit to Pyongyang.

There are photos showing the undying feats of Kim Jong Il who worked heart and soul with the most ardent patriotism to accomplish the cause of national reunification, the long-cherished desire of the Korean nation.

The photos show the feats he performed by providing the north-south summit, the first of its kind in the history of national division, making the whole land of Korea seethe with strong enthusiasm for reunification.

There are also photos documenting the dynamic actions of Koreans to implement the June 15 joint declaration and the steadfast will of the service personnel and people in the DPRK to resolutely smash the moves of the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean puppet group to stifle the DPRK and their moves to escalate the confrontation with the fellow countrymen.

Present at the opening ceremony were Yang Hyong Sop, Kim Yang Gon and other officials concerned, members of the North Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration, the North Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification and the North Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance of Youth and Students for Korea's Reunification and Pyongyangites.

Kim Wan Su, secretary general of the Central Committee of the Democratic Front for the Reunification of Korea who doubles as chairman of the North Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration, made an opening address.
