Construction of Power Station Progresses Apace in DPRK
Pyongyang, June 13 (KCNA) -- In the DPRK the construction of Paektusan Songun Youth Power Station No. 2 is progressing apace by dint of army-people coordinated operation.

In recent one month alone, the embankment of nearly 2,000 cubic meters and the concrete tamping for substructure of generator room were carried out before starting the construction of generator room on a full scale.

Its builders also carried all at once such projects as the bedrock excavation and concrete tamping for surge tank of several hundred cubic meters and embankment of nearly 1,000 square meters for the tank.

Meanwhile, soldier-builders carried out 40 percent of building over 170 blocks of dwelling houses.

In April when visiting the station under construction, supreme leader Kim Jong Un stressed the need to display the might of army-people coordinated operation in its construction.

This served as a source of mental power arousing all the army-civilian builders to work such miracles in the construction of Paektusan Songun Youth Power Station No. 2.

The builders are now pushing ahead with the construction of the power station while ensuring high speed and quality of construction.
