Commenting on this, Minju Joson Thursday says the Japanese reactionaries' action was an ill-intended politically-motivated campaign against Chongryon.

It goes on:

The recently indicted officials of Chongryon had nothing to do with the case of the Oriental Co. Ltd. and they had never imported even 0.001 gram of Korean songi mushroom.

The Japanese reactionaries' action taken against the officials of Chongryon is a vicious smear campaign against Chongryon and the DPRK to tarnish their image in the world arena.

It is a trite method of the Japanese reactionaries to seek a way out in intensifying their smear campaign against the DPRK and Chongryon, prompted by their political ambition.

There is the question as to why they are getting so desperate in their moves to crack down on Chongryon these days.

Taking advantages of the situation where the revision of the "Japan-U.S. Defence Cooperation Guidelines" has paved a broad avenue to overseas invasion, the Japanese reactionaries are now seeking to turn Japan into a military giant and, at the same time, working hard to stamp out Chongryon and realize their ambition for reinvasion, pursuant to the U.S. hostile policy towards the DPRK.

The Japanese reactionaries should immediately halt their vicious political crackdown and human rights abuses against Chongryon and Korean residents in Japan, release the unreasonably arrested officials of Chongryon and stop their rash actions.
