Solidarity with Korean People Expressed in DR Congo
Pyongyang, June 8 (KCNA) -- A meeting for solidarity with the Korean people and a film show took place in Kinshasa on May 27 to mark the 15th anniversary of the publication of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration.

Otete Gaston Mboyo, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the DR Congo, made a report to be followed by a speech of Andre Lohekele Kalonda, chairman of the National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea of the DR Congo.

The reporter said that the Korean people are suffering pain of national division for seven decades due to the U.S. obstructing Korea's reunification after occupying south Korea. He added:

The U.S. is blocking the reunification of Korea to realize its strategy for dominating Asia and pushing the regional situation to the extreme pitch of tension.

The DPRK is making every possible effort to reunify the country.

The way of improving the north-south relations and hastening the reunification is to respect and thoroughly implement the joint declaration.

A statement which was adopted at the meeting expressed full support for the joint declaration and called upon the world progressive people to fully support the just cause of the Korean people to reunify the country independently and peacefully.

A film exposing the true colors of the U.S. imperialists as the provocateurs of the Korean war was shown at the film show.
