Kim Jong Il's Exploits Praised by Beninese Figure

Pyongyang, June 3 (KCNA) -- Ali Houdou, president of the Socialist Party of Benin, made public a statement on May 26 to mark the 51st anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and the 15th anniversary of the publication of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration.

The statement said that Kim Jong Il set the Juche idea as the only guiding idea of the WPK and proclaimed it as the supreme programme of the party to model the whole society on the Juche idea.

He turned the WPK into the party which has formed a harmonious whole with the popular masses and faithfully served them, taking care of them in a responsible manner, the statement said, adding:

He wisely led the struggle for the independent and peaceful reunification of the country against the outsiders' interference and war moves, paving a wide avenue to achieve the unity and cohesion of the Korean people in the idea of By Our Nation Itself.

I pay highest tribute to Kim Jong Il who developed the WPK into the ever-victorious great party and performed great exploits for the reunification and peace of Korea.
