British Organizations Demand Removal of "May 24 Step"

Pyongyang, May 30 (KCNA) -- The British Association for the Study of Songun Policy, the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and the Korean Friendship Association UK made public a joint statement on May 25 in denunciation of the ill-famed "May 24 step".

The statement said:

The "May 24 step" is a confrontation measure based on a crude lie that the Cheonan warship sinking case was caused by the "torpedo attack" of the DPRK.

Five years have passed since then and there has been a change of regime in south Korea. However, the present chief executive, too, resorts to the "step", ridiculously insisting that the DPRK should "apologize" in order to get the "step" lifted.

We fully support the DPRK's offer to carry out a joint investigation into the Cheonan warship sinking case and urge the south Korean puppet group to accept this offer.

We appeal to the south Korean people to turn out in the struggle to invalidate the "May 24 step".
