The paper said:

The June 15 North-South Joint Declaration was adopted in Pyongyang in June, 2000 to independently solve the issue of the country's reunification by pooling the efforts of the Korean nation itself.

After the adoption of the declaration, dialogues and working-level contacts took place in various fields between the north and the south of Korea.

And joint agreements were reached, which represented the stand of prioritizing the desire and interests of the fellow countrymen, the national unity, cooperation and exchange were pushed forward and other reunification-oriented fruitions were achieved.

But the south Korean conservative authorities have totally denied the joint declaration since they came to power, prevented the north-south cooperation from advancing properly and escalated confrontation by cooking up plots one after another.

The Korean nation will surely build a reunified thriving nation, chanting high the slogan "Long live June 15 of reunification!"
