At least hundreds of school building construction and expansion projects have been completed across the country. As a result, thousands of new classrooms have made their appearances.

Various modern educational apparatuses for experiment and practice including electronic blackboards and computer-aided display of objects for teaching have been set up to make at least 10 000 classrooms multi-functional.

Pyongyang City is taking the lead in the school construction and projects for updating educational facilities.

At least 3,000 classrooms of many schools in the city have become multi-functional thanks to the above-said drive.

Factories under ministries and national institutions including the ministries of Chemical Industry, Public Health and Machine-building Industry have provided sufficient quantities of equipment for experiment and practice.
