The magazine referred to the fact that the President supported the Soviet Union with arms in the crucial period of the anti-Japanese armed struggle.

He gave an active helping hand to the Chinese revolutionaries during the anti-Japanese war, it said, and went on:

He extended full support and solidarity to the Cuban people in the early 1960s and rendered all forms of assistance to the country.

And when the Gulf of Tonkin incident occurred in August 1964 he supported and encouraged the Vietnamese people in the war against the aggression by the U.S. imperialists.

His noble internationalism influenced the Cambodian and Lao peoples' struggle for national salvation against the U.S. as well as the struggle of Arab countries including Egypt and Syria against Zionism.

He lighted the road to be followed by the African people in their efforts for national liberation, rendered possible support to them and brought about independence and new independent era to Africa that had been called "dark continent".

More than 20 years have passed since he passed away but he is always alive in the heart of progressive mankind as a noble model of internationalists.
