The statement fully supported the statements issued by the Committee for Aiding Overseas Compatriots of Korea and the Central Measure Committee of Chongryon condemning the heinous action of the Japanese authorities against Chongryon and Koreans in Japan.

The Japanese reactionaries' repressive action was a blatant challenge to Chongryon and the Korean nation and brigandish hostile action. This is touching off towering anger and resentment among all the Korean nationalities of the Zhongnan Regional Association.

The Japanese authorities should stop the unreasonable suppression of Chongryon, release the arrested compatriots without delay and apologize for the recent action.
