S. Korean Conservative Broadcasting Service Accused of False Reporting
Pyongyang, May 15 (KCNA) -- It has been disclosed that south Korean puppet conservative Channel A aired false reports about the actions of people from all walks of life demanding the probe into the truth about the ferry Sewol disaster, sparking public uproar.

On May 6 it showed four photos on the clash between demonstrators and policemen under the explanation "Ferry Sewol demonstrators assaulting police: exclusive photo".

Showing the photos, the broadcasting service let loose a spate of invectives to hype the demonstrators' violence, asserting that ferry Sewol demonstration resorting to violence cannot be justified.

However, one of the photos turned out to be a photo showing peasants fighting against police suppression of a rally against the conclusion of FTA in 2003. Another photo was taken at the time of a candlelight rally against import of American beef contained with mad cow disease in 2008. The two photos were reported by other media at that time.

In this regard public circles charged that this is not a simple mistake but a deliberate act to invent a pretext for cracking down upon the participants in actions to probe the truth about the ferry Sewol disaster.
