The meeting discussed the tasks and ways for glorifying forever the undying exploits President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il performed by training young people to display noble socialist traits and generalizing the noble traits highly displayed under the guidance of the Party and thus fully preparing them as pace-setters in the era possessed of revolutionary outlook on life.

Present at the meeting were Choe Ryong Hae, Choe Thae Bok, Yang Hyong Sop, young frontrunners in noble traits across the country, young frontrunners in noble traits of the old generation, officials of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League and those concerned.

A congratulatory message from the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) to the participants in the meeting was read out by Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the C.C., the WPK.

Jon Yong Nam, chairman of the Central Committee of the youth league, made a report.

He said that the history of the Korean youth movement is the one of great leadership Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in which they trained young people as those strong in idea and morality and the history in which they powerfully led the revolution and construction by giving full play to their mental power.

Referring to the fact that the Korean young people have grown to be possessors of noble ideological and mental traits, young heroes in the Songun era and excellent ones, he stressed this is a brilliant fruition of Kim Il Sung's and Kim Jong Il's idea of attaching importance to youth and love for them.

He called on all young people to glorify their worthwhile youth as a scout party dynamically advancing straight under the leadership of the party on the historic road of accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Songun.

Then followed speeches.

The speakers evinced their determination to be performers of shining feats and young heroes in the onward general offensive for the final victory by thoroughly carrying out the tasks set forth in the congratulatory message of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

At the venue of the meeting the congratulatory group of the Korean Children's Union recited a poem.

The meeting fully demonstrated the unshakable faith and will of young vanguard to fulfill their mission and duty as a reliable scout party and a flank unit of the WPK in the drive to fully demonstrate the validity and vitality of the Party's policy of attaching importance to youth and the might of single-minded unity of Songun Korea and glorify the great Kim Jong Un's era.
