When interviewed by KCNA, Dr. Kim Ryong Gil of the Life Science Faculty of Kim Il Sung University said:

Sulfur mud, abundant in the seaside thermal regions of our country, contains vitamins, antibiotics, enzymes, hormone and other active organic matters.

It has rich macroelements, microelements, selenium, iodine, iron and some rare-earth elements, which are very effective for growth stimulant.

The effect of sulfur mud as fodder additives has already been proved through its application in various stockbreeding bases.
