Solid Chlorine Dioxide Developed in DPRK
Pyongyang, May 12 (KCNA) -- Researchers of Kim Il Sung University and the State Science and Technology Commission in the DPRK have recently made solid chlorine dioxide, a highly-efficient germicide.

In this regard, Ryu Chol Jin, a researcher of the commission, told KCNA:

The solid chlorine dioxide is defined as the fourth generation highly-efficient germicide by the World Health Organization and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations for its penetration into pathogenic microorganism and environmental purification.

We researchers developed a technology of highly enriching and activating chlorine dioxide in accordance with the actual conditions of the country.

The solid chlorine dioxide helps disinfect seed, soil and exterminate varieties of bacteria and virus in the growing period of crops.

It is 2.5 times higher in disinfective power and much lower in the production cost than the existing ones. And it is easy to use.

This germicide has already been introduced to vegetable and other farms, showing good results.
