Minju Joson Blasts Reckless Action of Japan to Cover up Its Past Crimes
Pyongyang, April 30 (KCNA) -- More crimes committed by Japan during its colonial rule over Korea have been disclosed recently, sparking off uproar of the international community.

A historical document was recently found to testify to the fact that the commander of a Japanese army unit ordered an officer in charge of "comfort women" to carry out the forcible drafting of women.

A Japanese, who had served in unit 731 as a juvenile soldier during the Second World War, testified that experiments were conducted by Japanese imperialists on living bodies.

In this connection a social body consisting of Japanese doctors and scholars held a special event in demand of probe into the truth about the experiments and the opening of the related information.

Minju Joson on Thursday observes in a commentary in this regard:

This shows that no matter how much water may flow under the bridge and how desperately Japan may try to hide its past crimes, it can never cover up the historical truth.

The Japanese imperialists made no scruple of committing hideous crimes against humanity unprecedented in the history of mankind in Korea and the rest of Asia.

The Japanese reactionaries are painting their past military occupation of Korea and colonial rule over it as "just actions" for "protecting" it from European powers' invasion, while denying the forcible drafting of Koreans.

Clear is the aim sought by the Japanese reactionaries in deliberately denying and distorting history.

They seek to twist the historical facts unfavorable for carrying out the scenario for launching militarist overseas aggression to meet their requirements, to help Japan veer to the Right and train more ultra-right conservatives so as to realize the old dream of the "Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere" at any cost.

Japan would be well advised to respect history, admit its past crimes, and opt for making an apology and reparation for them, though belatedly.
