Rodong Sinmun Raps U.S. Attempt to Boost Nuclear Cooperation
Pyongyang, April 28 (KCNA) -- Brass hats of the U.S. are making much ado about "threat", claiming that the DPRK is "capable of firing ICBMs tipped with nuclear warheads at the U.S. mainland."

Meanwhile, the U.S. and its allies are crying out for intensifying the "joint counteraction to force north Korea to dismantle its nukes" now that not only Northeast Asia but the U.S. mainland are "within the range of nuclear strike by north Korea."

Commenting on this, Rodong Sinmun Tuesday says:

Lurking behind this is a cynic ploy to intentionally hype the "nuclear threat from the north" in a bid to achieve their sinister purpose.

Their scenario is aimed to secure the pretexts for deploying THAAD in south Korea, revising the "U.S.-Japan defense cooperation guidelines", establishing the mechanism for U.S.-Japan-south Korea "triangular cooperation" and resuming the six-party talks.

What should not overlooked is that they are busy building up public opinion critical of the DPRK's capability for developing nuclear weapons, vociferating about its "technology of producing smaller nukes". It is aimed to impair the ever-mounting dignity of the DPRK and its international prestige and throw a wet blanket over the friendly attitude of the international community towards it. By making much fuss about "the nuclear threat from the north" the U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces seek to keep cooperation in the nuclear racket against the DPRK from collapsing and increase pressure upon it.

However, they are seriously mistaken. Their sinister plots will only harden the determination and will of the DPRK to strongly react to their blatant challenge.

The U.S. and its allies should clearly understand that the DPRK will never allow anyone to encroach upon its nuclear sovereignty and fundamental interests.
