The premier went round the paint production building and the equipment assembling shop to learn in detail about the building and their production capacity.

He underlined the need to produce paint locally, develop new varieties of paint to increase economic efficiency and bring earlier the commissioning of the paint production process.

He learned about coal deposit, quantity of coal mined and progress made in the construction of drain pit at the February 8 Jikdong Youth Coal Mine before having a consultative meeting.

The meeting discussed the issues of producing and supplying under plan spare parts needed for normal operation of transport system as required by the newly laid belt conveyor and satisfactorily supplying major equipment and materials to coal mines to boost the coal production.

Earlier, the premier made a field survey of the work for turning Pyongyang City into parks. He underscored the need to carry out afforestation and greening under a long-term plan, plant more trees of good species to suit environment and take measures for taking care of them regularly.
