National Consultative Meeting of Australia-DPRK Association for Friendship and Culture Held
Pyongyang, April 27 (KCNA) -- A national consultative meeting of the Australia-DPRK Friendship and Culture took place in Sydney on Mar. 28.

Neil Fitzgerald, national chairman of the association, referred to the significance of the consultative meeting and introduced the successes made by the DPRK recently under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Noting that the U.S. has deployed huge forces on the Korean peninsula to create a constant danger while ratcheting up economic sanctions and blockade against the DPRK as part of its hostile policy toward the DPRK, he referred to the issue of promoting friendship with the Korean people and the issue of setting right the Australian public's wrong view on the DPRK.

Raymond Ferguson, national secretary of the association, recalled that the association has contributed to establishing the friendly relations between the peoples of the two countries.

Disclosing the absurdity of the reckless "human rights" campaign against the DPRK being kicked up by the U.S. and its allies, he said pursuant to such hostile policy, large-scale military drills against the DPRK are being staged on the Korean peninsula.

But the Korean people are not alone in their struggle, he said, adding that all friendship and solidarity organizations and the people aspiring after peace and reunification on the Korean peninsula are unequivocally supporting and encouraging the Korean people.

Then a resolution was adopted at the meeting.

It called on all progressive forces to get united and dynamically conduct the movement for solidarity with the Korean people.
