Minju Joson Calls for Putting Definite End to U.S.-S. Korea War Maneuvers
Pyongyang, April 25 (KCNA) -- Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises came to an end. They were staged by the U.S. and south Korean puppet warmongers under the pretext of "annual defensive ones" despite the strong protest and denunciation at home and abroad.

Commenting on this, Minju Joson Saturday terms Key Resolve and Foal Eagle unpardonable north-targeted nuclear war drills which undisguisedly encroached upon the sovereignty and dignity of the DPRK.

Nevertheless, the puppet forces are going so impudent as to talk about "dialogue" and "improved relations" without giving any assurance against the resumption of similar saber-rattling with the U.S.

We are well aware that the U.S. seeks to exhaust its rival through a carrot- and stick-approach and watch for a chance to mount a preemptive military attack. Such clumsy method will never work on the DPRK.

It is as clear as a pikestaff that if the DPRK shows good faith with magnanimity, the puppet group will resort to delaying tactics under this or that pretext just as it did in the past and torpedo dialogue through north-targeted nuclear war maneuvers.

It is only foreign forces that will like the repetition of such vicious cycle on the Korean peninsula. That is why we do not feel any need to negotiate with the puppet group acting as the U.S. waiting maid and war servant keen on the confrontation with fellow countrymen in the north, utterly indifferent to the settlement of the national issue through dialogue.

Clear is the stand of the army and people of the DPRK.

It is the fixed will of the army and people of the DPRK to put a definite end to the aggressors' ever escalating north-targeted nuclear war drills through merciless toughest counterattack and pave a wide avenue to independent reunification.
