Kim Yong Nam Meets State and Government Heads of Various Countries
Jakarta, April 22 (KCNA correspondent) -- Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, separately met and had talks with the president of Madagascar, the prime minister of Rwanda and the vice-president of Venezuela in Jakarta on Apr. 22. Kim is attending the Afro-Asian summit.

Heri Rajaonarimampianina, president of Madagascar, expressed his will to strive for boosting in various fields the long-standing friendly and cooperative relations between the DPRK and Madagascar provided by the preceding leaders of the two countries.

Anastase Murekezi, prime minister of Rwanda, said his country achieved political independence amid sincere support and encouragement by the DPRK, adding that he would continue developing friendship and cooperation with it.

Jorge Arreaza Montserrat, vice-president of Venezuela, sincerely thanked the Korean people for extending invariable support and solidarity to the Bolivarian Revolution of Venezuela. He clarified the stand to make efforts to develop the friendly ties with the DPRK in all fields and strengthen the non-aligned movement.

Earlier, Kim separately met and had talks with Megawati Soekarnoputri, general chairwoman of the Central Directive Council of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle and former president of Indonesia, and Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, mayor of Jakarta City, and his party.
