Remains of Former Officials of Chongryon Buried at Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery
Pyongyang, April 22 (KCNA) -- Remains of former officials of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) were buried at the Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery with due ceremony on Wednesday. They dedicated themselves to the prosperity of the socialist homeland and the patriotic cause of Chongryon with intense loyalty to President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il.

They included Yun Tok Gon, former first chairman of the Union of Korean Educational Association in Japan, Ro Jae Ho, former vice-chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, Nam Si U, former rector of Korean University of Chongryon, and Kang Chang Su, former first director of the Kwondo Institute of Chongryon.

Present at the ceremony were Kim Yong Dae, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, Kim Jin Guk, director of the Agency of Overseas Korean Affairs, officials of the organs related to overseas Korean affairs, the delegation of Koreans in Japan for celebrating the Day of the Sun (the birth anniversary of Kim Il Sung), Chongryon officials, Koreans in Japan and bereaved family members.

Kim Yong Dae made a eulogy.

Remains of the martyrs were buried at the cemetery and wreaths were laid in the name of the Central Standing Committee of Chongryon, the Central Standing Council of the Union of Korean Educational Association in Japan, the Choson Sinbo Company of Chongryon, Korean University of Chongryon, the Kwondo Institute of Chongryon and the organs related to overseas Korean affairs.
