S. Korean PM Accused of Mocking at Spirit of April 19 Popular Uprising
Pyongyang, April 22 (KCNA) -- Some media of south Korea accused the "prime minister" of south Korea of mocking at the spirit of the April 19 popular uprising.

Kyunghyang Daily News on Apr. 19 recalled that the "prime minister" received 30 million won from Song Wan Jong, former chairman of the Kyongnam Business Group, as a political fund, adding that not only the opposition parties but also the ruling party are demanding him step down.

He deleted the sentence "the government is pushing ahead with a wholesale reform to root out graft and corruption" from his address made at a ceremony marking the anniversary of the uprising out of his awareness of his position, the daily news noted.

The south Korean internet paper Voice of People on Apr. 20 recalled that the "prime minister" made an address in the capacity of representative of the "government" at the above-said event.

He is not entitled to stand before the graves of the brave participants in the uprising as it was popular resistance against fraudulent election and corruption of the Syngman-Rhee regime, the paper noted.

It urged him to step down.
