Anti-"Government" Action Staged in S. Korea
Pyongyang, April 22 (KCNA) -- A fierce anti-"government" action took place in Seoul on April 18 on the lapse of one year since the ferry Sewol disaster.

The area around the Kwanghwamun plaza was crowded with more than 30 000 people from all walks of life including members of 500 civic and public organizations.

The puppet authorities mobilized at least 14 000 police, creating a terror-ridden atmosphere before the rally. The police walked off more than 20 including bereaved family members on their way to the plaza.

At the rally speakers denounced Park Geun Hye, chief executive of south Korea, for making foreign trips, abandoning the bereaved families and other people.

What the people want is to probe the truth about the disaster and salvage the ferry, they said, adding all people would continue actions to probe the truth.

At the end of the rally the participants launched a demonstration toward Chongwadae.

The fascist police totally blocked the road to Chongwadae with dozens of vehicles, firing water guns and tear gas liquid to demonstrators.

Enraged by this, they fought against the police, shoulder to shoulder, and waged a protest action to remove the police cars.

The demonstration took place till late night.

That day the fascist authorities walked off 100 demonstrators and detained them in different police stations in Seoul.
