DPRK Premier Makes Field Survey of Construction Site of Monggumpho Fishery Base
Pyongyang, April 21 (KCNA) -- DPRK Premier Pak Pong Ju made a field survey of the construction site of the Monggumpho Fishery Base under the Ministry of Fisheries.

The large fishery base is now under construction in the area of Monggumpho on the western coast for salting and drying aquatic products.

Being briefed on the layout of master plan of the fishery base, he looked round various places including wharf busy discharging tiny shrimps, drying ground and construction site of fishermen's hostel to learn in detail about fish haul and construction.

A consultative meeting took place on the spot.

It said that turning Monggumpho into a fishery base is the last instructions of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and an important work to translate the intention of Marshal Kim Jong Un into a reality.

It discussed a series of issues of energetically pushing forward the expansion of wharf and dredging and ensuring timely supply of materials necessary for the project by learning from the fighting spirit of the service personnel who are building the Kumsanpho Pickled Fish Factory and the Kumsanpho Fishery Station.

It took measures for building the pickled fish factory in the fishery base to further develop the Korean-style culture in producing pickled fish.
