Present there on invitation were Foreign Minister Ri Su Yong, Thae Hyong Chol, president of Kim Il Sung University and minister of Higher Education, and officials concerned.

The ambassador said the President set an example to be followed by the oppressed people in the struggle for freedom and independence.

The Korean people are successfully carrying forward the revolutionary cause of Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il, rallied close around Marshal Kim Jong Un, the ambassador said, adding:

The Palestinian people will always stand by the friendly Korean people in their struggle for building a thriving socialist nation.

Ri Su Yong said that the friends of Palestine are joining the Korean people in celebrating the Day of the Sun every year. This is an expression of reverence for the President who made an immortal contribution to the human cause of independence, he stressed.

The revolutionary cause of Juche pioneered by the President was successfully carried forward by Kim Jong Il and is now being successfully completed under the leadership of Kim Jong Un, he noted.

The Korean people will extend invariable support and solidarity to the just cause of the Palestinian people in the future, too, he added.
