The silkworm raising research room succeeded in breeding high-yielding mulberry and new variety of mulberry silkworm.

The leaves of new mulberry are large and very high in quality. They make it possible to harvest mulberry leaves more than 4-5 times in the same area. Eggs of new-bred mulberry silkworm will increase 10 percent and cocoon 15 percent as compared with the preceding species.

The researchers of the pathology room succeeded in manufacturing preventive medicine for white powder disease of mulberry silkworm. The introduction of the above-said medicine would open a prospect for boosting the cocoon production 30-40 percent.

Scientists of the institute have made achievements in the project to locally produce disinfectant.
