The participants heard papers on achievements made in researches into the ecology and cultivation of Kimilsungia and its dissemination in the past.

The symposium referred to the facts that seed cultivation technology has been put on a scientific basis to suit the biological features of Kimilsungia seed and the method of cultivating the flower established and introduced by finding out effective components for the growth of Kimilsungia in wild flora and using mixed extractive

Stressed there were that the rational temperature management method needed for raising large Kimilsungia on a regular basis has been established, the method of bringing Kimilsungia into bloom in four seasons while keeping the characteristics of species of Kimilsungia and having it stand unfavorable circumstances founded out and impact on some factors to blooming flower clarified.

Present at the symposium were Choe Thae Bok, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Yong Jin, vice-premier of the Cabinet, officials concerned and scientists, technicians, teachers and students.
