Tokyo, April 12 (KNS-KCNA) -- A meeting of Koreans in Japan took place at the Korean Hall of Culture in Tokyo on April 11 in celebration of the 103rd birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung (the Day of the Sun).

It was attended by Ho Jong Man, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon); Pae Ik Ju, its vice-chairman; Pae Jin Gu, its vice-chairman and secretary general; Pak Ku Ho, its vice-chairman; Hong In Hum, chairman of the Central Audit Committee of Chongryon; advisors and department directors of the Central Standing Committee of Chongryon; the permanent advisor and the director of the Research Institute on History of Korean Residents in Japan; leading officials of organizations and enterprises of Chongryon; chairpersons of the Chongryon Headquarters and officials of Chongryon in Kanto Area; Koreans in Japan; and teachers and students of Korean University.

Ho Jong Man in a report referred, first of all, to the fact that supreme leader Kim Jong Un sent educational aid fund and stipends amounting to 238.04 million yen on the occasion of the Day of the Sun.

He went on:

The President is always remembered by the world people as a prominent leader, peerless patriot and the sun of mankind as he performed undying feats unprecedented in the history of the Korean nation spanning thousands of years and carved out a rosy future of Juche Korea.

Leader Kim Jong Il projected Chongryon as pride of the country and the nation and the vanguard and model of the movement of overseas Koreans in the world by working heart and soul throughout his revolutionary life.

The undying feats of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il are shining more brilliantly thanks to Kim Jong Un, and their revolutionary careers are given steady continuity as the history of the sun.

Ho called upon the Koreans in Japan to unite single-mindedly and advance in sky-high spirit to usher in a new heyday in the movement of Koreans in Japan.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was read out at the meeting.

A lecture was given by the Central Standing Committee of Chongryon that day on the same occasion.
