President of Sao Tome and Principe Supports DPRK
Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- DPRK Ambassador Kim Hyon Il on April 2 presented his credentials to Manuel Pinto Da Costa, president of Sao Tome and Principe.

The president said the two countries have maintained historically deep and long-standing relations of friendship and cooperation.

He noted that whenever hearing the news of the energetic leadership provided by respected HE Kim Jong Un who is successfully carrying forward the cause of HE Kim Il Sung and HE Kim Jong Il, he recollected the days of his visit to the DPRK.

Still fresh in my memory is the time when I had the honor of being received by President Kim Il Sung, he said, adding:

HE Kim Il Sung and HE Kim Jong Il were the great and tender-hearted benefactors of the people of Sao Tome and Principe as they rendered material and moral assistance to them in their efforts for building a new society.

I am sincerely rejoiced over the fact that the Korean people united around HE Kim Jong Un as one are firmly defending the sovereignty of the country and continue achieving big successes in all fields true to the noble cause of the preceding leaders.

The people of Sao Tome and Principe will invariably support the Korean people in their efforts to ensure peace on the Korean peninsula and their cause of independent reunification.
