Newspapers Praise Exploits of Kim Jong Il
Pyongyang, April 9 (KCNA) -- Newspapers Thursday dedicate editorials praising exploits of leader Kim Jong Il to the 22nd anniversary of his election as chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK.

Since he was elected chairman of the NDC the DPRK has shed its brilliant rays as an invincible political and military power and an eternal foundation has been laid for steady victories and prosperity of the great Paektusan nation.

He was the peerless elder statesman who, holding the important post of the NDC chairman, successfully solved all issues arising in the nation-building and the work for national defence and thus set an example of the times in building a thriving socialist nation.

HeKim Jong Il was an outstanding strategist and invincible and iron-willed commander as he turned the DPRK into a matchless military power of the world. He was a peerless statesman who consolidated the single-minded unity, mainstay of the Korean revolution and strongest weapon, like an invulnerable fortress and peerless patriot who laid the solid foundation for eternal prosperity of the country and the nation.

The greatest exploit he performed for the eternal dignity and prosperity of the country and the nation was that he solved the issue of succession to the leadership most successfully.

The election of Marshal Kim Jong Un to the top post of the Workers' Party of Korea, state and army is a firm guarantee for the prosperity of socialist Korea.

Rodong Sinmun calls on all party members, service personnel and people to emerge honorable victors in the general offensive this year as befitting Kim Jong Il's soldiers and disciples who grew up to be those strong in idea and faith and performers of miracles and feats under his care.

Minju Joson also calls for dynamically advancing along the road of independence, Songun and socialism, holding him in high esteem as the eternal leader of the DPRK.
