In the work the President provided highly important guidelines for Korea's reunification and socialist construction in the DPRK.

The work indicates the main tasks, motive forces, objects and character of the Korean revolution, as well as the ways for uniting and arousing all the patriotic forces in the north and the south of Korea to a nationwide struggle against the U.S. imperialists and stepping up the socialist revolution in the north.

It also clarifies the idea of invariably adhering to the independent line of the revolution and strengthening the armed forces in every way along with the party and the state power.
